This is the recent update on the last day of classes for 2018. According to DepEd Order No. 049 series of 2018, the last day of classes will be on December 15, 2018 instead of December 22, 2018. See the copy of the DepEd Order below.

This is the Amendments to DepEd Order No. 25 Series of 2018 (School Calendar for School Year 2018-2019)
The Department of Education values the importance of spending quality time with the family. The Christmas season provides an opportunity for Filipino learners to strengthen their emotional bonds with their family.
In view of the foregoing, the Department issues this Order amending the start of the Christmas break from Saturday, December 22, 2018 as provided in Paragraph 10 of DepEd Order No. 25 Series of 2018, to Saturday, December 15, 2018. However, December 15 shall remain to be a class day for intended student activities.
Resumption of classes on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, and last day of classes on Friday, April 5, 2019 shall remain unchanged.
Regions, Divisions, and Schools are directed to review the Budget of Work (BOW) on curriculum implementation to ensure that the required competencies are covered.
Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed.
